Why is she such a powerful consultant and coach? Because she has done it herself successfully many times. Today Julie is the CEO of How Women Lead, a network of 8000 women leaders. The organization has a grant making arm and an investing arm. And for 11 years she was the visionary and inspiring leader of Women’s Initiative for Self Employment, launching scores of women's companies that boast an unprecedented 70% success rate after 5 years.


Julie's commitment to justice and community are well known in her personal and professional endeavors. She serves as a leader on the boards of organizations focused on women and children, Latinos, economic development and the arts. Julie sits on the Board of Directors for LENDonate, a Silicon Valley start-up and multiple nonprofit organizations located throughout the country, including Governance Chair for Women’s Funding Network, Association for Enterprise Opportunity, Co-Chair of Vital Voices Bay Area Council, and Board Chair of Cypress Quartet.  


Julie has won many awards including the More Jobs Genius Award, Morgan Stanley Innovation Award, Cisco Innovation in Technology, "Women Who Could Be President" League of Women Voters, Stevie Award for Best Non Profit Executive, Human Rights Award from the Commission on the Status of Women, the Women of Color Action Network, Leadership California and the Marin Women's Hall of Fame.

Noni Allwood

Noni is a Talent and Diversity expert with deep experience from 23 years at Cisco in HR and Diversity and nearly 10 years at the Center for Talent Innovation. 

Bonnette Ishimwe 

Bonnette graduated from Whitman College with a degree in Politics and French. She drives our board search practice and supports movement building and call to action activities.


Alexandra Drechsler

Alex graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Communications and Entrepreneurship. She supports events and production coordination.
